J+25: Châssis et cuisine, 1 sur 2

On profite de nos vacances pour régler un maximum de choses pour la maison. Aujourd'hui, nous avions prévu de signer la cuisine et les châssis, histoire de se débarasser de ce dont on était sûrs et surtout, de bloquer les prix 2009 et ne pas encore se prendre l'indexation du 1er janvier.

10h00, rendez-vous chez le cuisiniste. Il a dû s'absenter et son collègue le remplace... mon intuition me dit que c'est mal parti.
Ce qui est bien avec le cuisiniste (et la crise) c'est qu'à chaque fois qu'on y va, il a une nouvelle promotion et qu'elle se cumule avec les précédentes. Donc en juillet, on a bénéficié des soldes, en septembre c'était la pose gratuite, et aujourd'hui, une super machine à Expresso (mais fait-elle du bon café?).
Mon cuisiniste, c'est un magicien: il me rajoute des options et le prix diminue (il faudrait peut-être que je le présente à l'entrepreneur).
Mais au moment de signer le devis... aïe, il y a des trucs qui ont changé sans qu'on sache pourquoi (je vous l'ai dit, il est magicien)... Bref, après avoir cherché le pourquoi-du-comment, personne n'a trouvé et on a décidé de reporter le rendez-vous à jeudi quand le magicien-chef sera de retour.

17h30, avec 1h30 de retard, le commercial des châssis arrive à l'appart. On lit les papiers et évidemment, ça coince. Il veut tout changer au contrat de l'architecte. Bon, j'avoue, c'est un peu de notre faute vu qu'on ne lui a pas envoyé avant. Mais quand même... c'est le contrat standard de l'architecte et c'est loin d'être la première fois qu'ils travaillent ensemble.
Donc, panique à bord, je voyais déjà le scénario de ce matin se reproduire... Un petit coup de fil à l'architecte à passé 18h00, il décroche quand même (je vous ai déjà dit que j'avais un architecte génial?)... ok, pas de souci avec les changements.
5 minutes plus tard, c'est signé, poignée de main et tout le monde est content. Et mon petit coeur bat à 100 à la minute.

We are taking advantage of our vacation this week to close as many things as possible for the house.
Today, we had the signature of the contracts for the kitchen and the windows on the agenda. This way, we could get rid of stuffs we are sure about and also, settle the prices in 2009 in order to avoid the index on January 1st.

10.00 AM, appointment with the kitchen company. Our contact is out of the office today and his colleague will replace him... My intuition is telling me it will not go well.
What's good with our kitchen company (and the crisis) is that each time we visit it, there is a new discount that adds up to the previous one. In July, it was the sales; in September, the putting in for free; and today, a free espresso machine (but does it make a good coffee?).
My kitchen salesman is a magician: he adds new options, and the price goes down (I should maybe introduce him to the building company).
But when we had to sign on the order... ouch, some items changed on the estimate without doing anything (I told you, he is a magician)... So, after looking for the how-to, nobody found out and we decided to postpone the appointment to next Thursday when the chief-magician will be back.

5.30 PM, and with 1h30 delay, the windows salesman arrives home. We are reading the paperwork and, of course, a problem happened. He wants to change everything to the contract the architect wrote. Well, ok, I confess, it's a little bit our fault since we did not send it before. But still... it is the standard architect contract and it is not the first time they work together.
So, panic, I already started thinking about what happened in the morning... Quick call to the architect while it is already later than 6.00 PM, he still picks up the phone (did I already tell you my architect is so nice?)... ok, no issue with the changes.
5 minutes later, the contract is signed, handshakes and everybody is satisfied. And my heart is beating at 100.

Note for later: we must sign the contracts at the architect's, not at home anymore.
