Vendredi 24 septembre: D comme Déménagement

Pas trop mal dormi mais on est levés tôt! On attend les premiers amis à 8h00 (finalement, ce sera 7h30, on a bien fait de ne pas traîner au lit) et il faut encore aller chercher les couques à la boulangerie, démonter le lit, boucler la dernière valise, vider le frigo, etc.

9h00, c'est au tour des déménageurs d'arriver. 5 hommes, 1 camion, 1 lift, tout s'enchaîne très vite... en moins d'une heure, l'appartement est vide. J'avoue m'être cantonnée à tout organiser depuis le fond de l'appart et depuis la cave, je n'avais pas trop envie de regarder mes meubles passer par la fenêtre et peut-être tomber ou je-ne-sais-pas-quoi-d'autre.

10h30, Vincent part avec le camion, je suivrai 1/2 heure plus tard. Zut... je vois un flash dans mon rétro... tant pis, on verra bien... avec un peu de chance, le PV se perdra dans le changement d'adresse.

12h00, tout est déchargé du camion à Gembloux, je viens d'arriver et les déménageurs repartent déjà. Quelle efficacité!

18h00, les meubles sont en place, les boîtes de la cuisine et du living sont déballées... Waow! Nous avons des amis vraiment efficaces!

20h00, souper improvisé avec Jean-Yves et Deborah... Pas d'eau... pas de souci, on cuira les pâtes dans de l'eau minérale et on ouvrira une bouteille de mousseux! La petite Romane a déjà adopté la maison... c'est gai de pouvoir faire du ramping sur le béton lissé. :o)

23h00, au lit! Pas d'eau courante ce soir, on n'a qu'un robinet d'eau froide dans le garage. Mais on est tellement fatigués et heureux que ce n'est finalement qu'un détail.


Friday September 24th: M as Move

We did not sleep to bad, but we're up early! We are expecting the first friends to arrive at 8.00 AM (actually, they will at 7.30 AM, so it's good we woke up early) and we still need to go to the bakery, disassemble the bed, pack the last suitcase, empty the fridge, etc.

9.00 AM, the movers are there. 5 men, 1 truck, 1 lift, everything is moving so fast... in less than one hour, the flat is empty. I have to say I stayed most of the time at the back of the flat or in the basement. I did not feel like looking at our furniture's going through the window and perhaps fall or being damaged.

10.30 AM, Vincent is leaving with the truck and I'll follow half an hour later. Damned... I saw a camera light in my mirror... maybe it will get lost in the mail forwarding.

12.00 PM, all the boxes and the furniture's are unloaded from the truck. I'm just coming and the movers are already leaving. So efficient!

6.00 PM, all furniture's are placed, we are already finished unpacking the kitchen and the living room boxes. Wow! We have such good friends!

8.00 PM, unexpected dinner with Jean-Yves and Deborah. No tap water... no worries, we'll cook the pasta's into mineral water and open a bottle of sparkling wine as a drink! Baby Romane is already feeling at home... so fun to creep on the concrete floor.

11.00 PM, in our bed! We still don't have tap water, it's only working in the garage. But we are so happy and exhausted that this is only a detail.
