Il fait plutôt beau cette semaine... un peu gris mais sec et plus de gel. Nous espérions donc une reprise du chantier hier. Et bien nous avons dû déchanter...
Hier, l'entrepreneur a dit à l'architecte que le terrain était impraticable car trop boueux... Ce matin, à la réunion de chantier, changement de version, ce serait la camionette qui serait en panne. Et puis "vous savez, on annonce de la pluie pour la fin de la semaine alors on verra bien...". N'importe quoi! Je viens encore de regarder les prévisions météo et pas de pluie annoncée avant au moins vendredi après-midi. Bref, j'ai bien l'impression que tout ça, c'est des histoires pour pouvoir aller travailler sur un autre chantier. Mais on ne va pas se laisser faire! L'architecte a bien fait remarqué que ce n'était pas acceptable et qu'il s'agissait de faire le parement avant le 20 février... histoire de pouvoir mesure les châssis. En plus, il y a encore une pointe à terminer et le toit à faire. Bref, ils n'ont que l'embarras du choix pour travailler!
The weather is good this week... a bit cloudy but no rain and it's not freezing anymore. We therefore hoped the construction to continue yesterday. Well, it was a false hope...
Yesterday, the building company told the architect the land was too wet to work... This morning, during the construction site meeting, it was another story, their truck is broken. And "you know, there are forecasts of rain for the rest of the week so we'll see..." Bullshit! I just looked at the forecasts and it should not rain before Friday afternoon. So, I'm really feeling like all of these are excuses to go working on another construction. But that won't be so easy! The architect insisted that this was unacceptable and that the bricks should be done by February 20th... in order to meet the windows deadline. And there is also the roof wall to finish and the roof to start. So, they have a large variety of work to do!
