Au soleil, pas de souci. Malgré les températures ne dépassant pas zéro, avec la machine, ça allait tout seul... Philippe aux trous et moi à la plantation. Hop, hop, hop, en une heure, on a couvert les 30 premiers mètres.
Les choses se sont un peu compliquées quand on est arrivés sur la partie du terrain qui est toujours à l'ombre de la maison... la machine n'en voulait plus... retour aux bonnes vieilles méthodes: on a sorti la pioche. Mais même comme ça, pas moyen de venir à bout du terrain. Il reste donc un trou d'environ 10-12 mètres. Ce sera pour dans quelques jours si le temps se réchauffe ou bien pour le printemps.
Encore merci à Philippe pour son aide exceptionnelle et milles pardons aux voisins dont on a probablement gâché la grasse matinée avec notre machine à faire des trous.
Here we go! This time, the hedge is in place. One side this year.
In the sunshine, no issue. Although the temperature is below 32°F, with the machine, it was so easy... Philippe making the holes, and I planting the trees. Hop, hop, hop, within one hour, we planted the first 33 yards.
It became a bit harder when we came into the shadow... the machine did not want it anymore... back to the old-fashion way: we pull out the pickaxe. But even like that, no way we could make holes. So, there is a 13 yards length gap. We will cover that in the next few days if the weather gets warmer or in the spring.
