Couler une dalle en béton, ce n'est pas de tout repos... Nous avions déjà revu nos ambitions à la baisse: de 4x5m, on se contentera finalement de 3x3,5m. Mais quand je vois les trois palettes de sacs de gravier, de sable, et de ciment qui sont dans l'allée de garage, je me dis que c'est déjà plus que suffisant!
Heureusement qu'on peut compter sur l'aide des deux frères de Vincent... Je ne sais pas très bien comment nous aurions fait sans ces deux paires de bras supplémentaires.
10h30, le petit déj est avalé et les garçons sont prêts à attaquer. Au menu: 55 sacs de graviers, 30 de sable et autant de ciment.
Trois heures plus tard, le dernier mélange est fait. Reste à lisser la dalle pour que la surface soit bien nette. Encore une heure de boulot pour tout nettoyer et ranger. Quelle efficacité!
Le tout s'est terminé par le premier barbecue de l'année et la première goutte de pluie n'est arrivée que quand tout le monde repartait. Bref, une journée parfaite!
Pouring a concret slab, it's not that easy... We already decided to make it smaller: from 13 x 16 ft, we revised it to 10 x 12 ft. But when I see the piles of stone, sand, and cement in the alley, I think this is more than enough! Thanks God we can count on Vincent's brothers... I don't know how we would have done it without them.
