On sort de réunion avec le dernier des entrepreneurs (ben oui, le fax ne marchait pas alors je suis vraiment allée le chercher moi-même)... recommandé par un de nos voisins et que je pensais être pas trop cher.
D'emblée, il nous annonce un devis à 180.000 EUR HTVA pour le gros-oeuvre... heureusement que j'étais assise!
Après un rapide petit audit de son tableau manuscrit (le pauvre, il ne sait pas à qui il a affaire) il apparait qu'il ne connait pas ses tables de multiplications (20 x 442 ça ne fait pas 28.000 EUR) et qu'il ne sait pas non plus faire de sommes (on n'a pas besoin de 2 radiers à 9.000 EUR, 1 c'est suffisant). Bref, je lui ai refait tout son tableau et renvoyé aussitôt... on va voir ce qu'il va en dire parce que du coup, j'ai quand même récupéré près de 50.000 EUR... juste en le remettant dans Excel!
Nouveau sondage... a-t-il essayé délibérément de nous arnaquer ou est-il juste nul en math?
We're just coming back from a meeting with the last company (yep, the fax finally did not work so I went there and picked it up myself)... advised by one of our future neighbour and that I thought he was cheaper.
Starting the discussion, he tells us the total price is EUR 180,000 excl. VAT only for the walls and the roof... I'm so glad I was seated!
After a quick audit of his manually written table (he does not know I'm an auditor), it appears he does not know his multiplication tables (20 x 442 does not equal to EUR 28,000) and neither is he able to add figures accurately (we do not need 2 mud pads at EUR 9,000, 1 is enough). In short, I recalculated the whole table and sent it back immediately... we'll see what he will say because I recovered about EUR 50,000... only because I put the figures in Excel!
New poll... did he try to cheat on us on purpose or is he only very bad in mathematics?
